La Dolce Vita

That’s the dream, right? Strolling sun-soaked beaches, savoring fresh-made pasta, and living la dolce vita every second. Sure, eight days isn’t nearly enough—but it’s plenty of time to fall head over heels for these stunning destinations.

In the afternoon, we’ll head out on a walking tour where you’ll get your first taste of architecture so significant it earned a spot on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Are credit cards widely accepted on the islands, or should I bring cash?

+

-

Many places accept credit cards, but it’s wise to carry cash, especially for smaller businesses, taxis, or remote areas. ATMs are available on most major islands, though availability may be limited in smaller, less-touristy locations.

What should I pack for a trip to the Greek Islands?

+

-

Light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, swimwear, and a hat for sun protection are essentials. A light jacket is also helpful for cooler evenings, especially in spring or fall.

Do I need to speak Greek to get around?

+

-

While learning basic Greek phrases can enhance your experience, English is widely spoken, especially in tourist areas. Most signage, menus, and ferry schedules are available in both Greek and English.

What is the best time of year to visit the Greek Islands?

+

-

The Greek Islands are popular from late spring to early autumn, with the best weather typically from May to October. July and August are peak months, offering the hottest weather and the liveliest atmosphere, but late spring and early fall provide a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds.
