Day 1 – Ubud
Bring it on, Bali!
Check into your hotel nestled in Old Havana and grab a drink with your travel crew.
In the afternoon, we’ll head out on a walking tour where you’ll get your first taste of architecture so significant it earned a spot on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Continue on and give a mojito a go—the local favorite and Cuban national drink has been a staple on these lively shores for centuries.
That night, we’ll all head out together to grab some dinner and check out local live music in one of the neighborhood's trendiest spots.

Arrive
This trip begins in Ubud, Bali and the nearest airport is I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) which is about an hour by car.
Plan to arrive in Bali by 1pm on Day 1; however, we do recommend flying in earlier to shake off the jet leg and explore the city on your own!
Depart
This trip ends in Uluwatu, Bali and the nearest airport is I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) which is roughly 30 minutes by car.
We recommend booking a roundtrip flight to DPS or extending your trip and enjoying a few more days in Indonesia.
Accommodations
PENDING FROM OPS
Boat Transportation
During this trip, we’ll be taking a number of ferries and boats, so plan accordingly if you get seasick (Dramamine is your friend!).
Dietary Restrictions
Bali can accommodate most dietary requirements, but please let our team know ahead of time. Severe nut allergies can be more difficult since nut oils are used frequently in the local food.
Less Crowds
Most Bali vacation packages head to more touristy areas such as Kuta Beach or Seminyak Beach. We purposefully bypass those in search of more authentic and secluded slices of paradise.
Passport Validity
To travel to Bali, your passport must have 2 blank pages and 6 months validity beyond arrival date. Indonesia does not accept the 12-page U.S. emergency passport for entry into Indonesia.
Weather & Seasons
Indonesia lies directly on the equator; that means it’s usually hot and humid.
Visas
Visa on arrival at some international airports, seaports, or land crossings. To apply for the visa on arrival, you must have an ordinary (non-emergency) passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date you plan to enter and the date you plan to leave Indonesia and a return or onward flight booking to another country. There is a 500,000 Indonesian Rupiah fee (about $35). The visa on arrival is valid for up to 30 days.
